BestFax: the Best Value in Pharmacy Communication

CarePrecise acquires multiple healthcare provider databases every month, including the National Provider Identifier registry, where every U.S. HIPAA-covered healthcare provider must update their information any time it changes. Because providers do not always report correct fax numbers, or any fax number at all in almost 40% of the NPI registry, CarePrecise uses advanced data mining to locate and verify numbers from across many millions of federal healthcare provider records. We supply the refined result to you in a convenient CSV file you can use immediately in Excel.

Far Less Expensive than Email

Because of the methods involved in collecting deliverable, permissioned email addresses, email lists are very expensive. To acquire a list of good email addresses for 83,000 you would pay $9,500 or more. We do not "scrape" web pages to collect data that is often spoofed using obfuscation to reduce spam; rather, CarePrecise sources BestFax numbers from providers' federal data. If a pharmacy doesn't report their fax number, or reports a non-working number, our system identifies the workplace record's fax number, or the fax number reported on a co-worker's practice record.

* Additional Information

Some providers obfuscate the fax numbers for many of their locations' federal NPI records in an attempt to reduce fax spam. BestFax uses QoRelate™ advanced record linking and validating technology to acquire fax numbers from millions of federal provider records to fill in the gaps.

Duplication of fax numbers occurs where more than one practitioner shares a work location, and occasionally where a practitioner has an optional second record for their business entity. Data is acquired as published on federal healthcare provider records, therefore no warranty is or can be offered as to accuracy beyond the CarePrecise guarantee that data has been sources from the most current available data, updated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) monthly.

CarePrecise makes no warranty or claim as to deliverable rates, merchantability or fitness for a specific purpose, or viability or legality regarding the use of its data products. Full responsibility rests with the user. Purchaser understands and agrees that its use of CarePrecise fax lists and other data will comply with U.S. federal and state laws relating to fax, mail, telephone and other communications.

** CoLoCode: This is a "co-location code" for use in determining which practitioners work at the same address, and for connecting the clinicians with their workplace information available in other CarePrecise datasets, such as CarePrecise Complete and CarePrecise Advanced.

FaxSource and FaxType are indicators that identify where the fax number can be found within the current NPI registry, and the SourceNPI is the identifier of the NPI record where the fax number is located. The codes are described in detail on the ScribeFax page; the BestFax lists are a subset of ScribeFax.
