CarePrecise Access State delivers rich data for each selected state from the CarePrecise Access Complete database, from sources including the NPI Registry. Every month CarePrecise merges in updated data from many other sources, including the PECOS (Medicare) database, and millions of health insurance claims.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, maintains this source data, and requires that healthcare providers update their NPI record within thirty days of any change, making it the most up-to-date rescouce for physician data, as well as data on hospitals, clinics, dentists, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacies – U.S. healthcare providers of virtually every kind.

Based on these sources, CarePrecise's provider data, is more comprehensive, more complete, and more accurate than even the AMA MasterFile maintained by the American Medical Association, according to a study conducted by Mathematica Policy Research and published in the Journal of General Internal Medicine.
