About Suppression Files
CarePrecise can remove email addresses you already have – whether purchased from us or elsewhere – so that you won't be charged for them when you purchase email addresses from us. To do that, we need a file containing these email addresses you want removed, called a suppression file, that we will use to "suppress" these emails from your count and quote, and eventual purchase.
Not only can we suppress based on email addresses, but also on NPI numbers, so if you have an in-house list of providers with the National Provider Identifier number (NPI) in a column, we can remove providers from your purchase who match your criteria, but that you already have in your database, presumably with a good email address. Be careful though, we may have a better email address for some of these, so this approach has the possibility of depriving you of an improved email database.
Unless you are an Email Credit Pack customer, the charge for this service starts at $40 per order when you supply the suppression file in correct format.
Suppression charges may be higher that the base rate quoted here if your order requires special processing, or if your suppression list is in excess of 50,000 records.
- Email Credit Pack customers are not charged for standard email or NPI suppression, and we keep ongoing suppression data for them in our system so they will always be able to count on unique email addresses or NPI numbers in their counts and orders.
CarePrecise can also suppress based on phone numbers, addresses, names, and other data. Pricing for these forms of record-linkage suppression are priced according to complexity.
Instructions
Suppress by Email Address
Export a file in CSV format (comma separated values - a very common format for data) that contains only one column, titled "Email" in the first row. Do not include any data information in the file, as CarePrecise is not responsible for secure handling of sensitive information. Name the file with a clue as to your company name. This format qualifies for the base rate of $40 per order.
Suppress by NPI Number
Export a file in CSV format (comma separated values - a very common format for data) that contains only one column, titled "NPI" in the first row. Do not include any data information in the file, as CarePrecise is not responsible for secure handling of sensitive information. Name the file with a clue as to your company name. This format qualifies for the base rate of $40 per order.
You may submit both email and NPI suppression files, but they must be two separate files, not linking NPI to email address. CarePrecise is not responsible for NPI/email connections that may escape our stringent controls for any reason.
Suppress by Other Information
If you have a list of key words in company names (such as "Kaiser" or "University" or "Cleveland Clinic") we can suppress using these data, as well. Pricing for complex record-linkage suppression starts at $120, and CarePrecise is among the best in the healthcare space at record-linkage tasks, using our proprietary QoRelate system. We can also use your Placekey or geocode data to either suppress (exclude), or capture (include) provider records specific to your need.
Submit Your File
To submit your suppression file to CarePrecise, you may email it to sales@careprecise.com and include in your email message all other criteria you would like for us to apply in processing your count request. We will use the suppression file to remove records with these email addresses (or NPI numbers) from your count and quote, which usually can be sent within one business day of your request.
